We bet you've never seen a playground like this before. Calgary’s largest universally inclusive playground located at Shouldice Park sets a new standard for accessible play. Calgary mom Candice says it made a big difference to her and her son Kanen, who lives with cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair. With funding from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities in 2018, we created it as part of an initiative to build several playgrounds of this kind across Canada. In 2021, we invested in ten inclusive playgrounds located in every quadrant of the city with the goal of including everyone in play and recreation activities.
