utaustintx announced the closure of the Division of Campus and Community Engagement in an email from President Jay Hartzell on Tuesday. The sudden termination has resulted in the dissolution of certain programs under the DCCE, such as the Women’s Community Center, and approximately 60 layoffs, 40 of which were former employees of the DCCE.  Many of the DCCE’s programs are being transferred to other parts of the University. Programs such as Disability and Access and First Generation Longhorns will now fall under the Division of Student Affairs.
