THE CLASSICS DIPLOMA is earned by completing three years of one classical language and two years of the other. The students of the Classical Diploma Cohort complete a capstone project during the spring of their Greek II year. This collaborative project requires that the cohort plans, produces, and presents a product that shares their understanding of the Classical World with the broader school community. Finally, Classical Diploma candidates travel with the department on the biennial Classics Trip over spring break to either Greece or Italy. On this trip, students have the opportunity to bridge their literary and historical understanding of the Classics to the study of ancient material culture, architecture, and environment.
