Behind a pair of big scoring efforts against two of the top three teams in the Summit League standings, IPFW junior Max Landis has been named the Summit League Player of the Week by both the Summit League and College Sports Madness. Landis averaged 23 points per game on the week, hitting 72.2 percent (13-of-18) of his shots from the field, 4-of-8 from long range, and 16-of-17 from the charity stripe. He also pulled down four rebounds, gave out four assists, and picked up three steals in the two games. In the weekend-opener against Summit League leader South Dakota State, he hit on 5-of-8 shots from the field, and all seven of his free throw tries, scoring a then-IPFW-career high 19 points while also dishing out three assists. Two days later Landis smashed his previous career-high of 20 with 27 points against Oral Roberts, hitting 8-of-10 from the field, half of his four three-point attempts, and 9-of-10 from the charity stripe, pulling down three rebounds and picking up two steals. ...
