#Repost yalealumni ・・・ This September, the First Women to arrive at Yale College in 1969 reunited to celebrate the 50th anniversary of coeducation at the university. To mark this occasion, the university dedicated a commemorative stone on Old Campus, which included remarks by Peter Salovey ’86 PhD, President of Yale University, and Elizabeth Alexander ’84, PhD, President of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Throughout the weekend, alumnae participated in tours and talks, film events, dedications, and dinners. The year-long celebration of Women at Yale will continue through 2020. “We belong to an evolving entity that believes in the strong spine of certain traditions but also evolution. Yale has changed; you have helped change it; it will continue to change.” — Celebrated poet Elizabeth Alexander ’84 #YaleWomen #YaleAlumni #50WomenAtYale150
