This year we had 4 of our rising seniors make connections at our annual Fête that led to summer jobs. Tara Litjens ‘20 is working as a Research Intern for the Center for Applied Earth Sciences and Engineering Research better known as CAESER. They are an applied research team based at the University of Memphis that works with public, private, and government partners in both natural and populated environments. What she likes most about the job is the people she gets to work with, and the fact that the work she is doing is directly affecting and helping the Memphis and Tennessee populations. The alum that Tara connected with was Carol Roberts ‘81. Tara is so grateful for getting to know Carol better, as it has not only given her the chance to do research for her thesis, but more importantly, it’s given her a true mentor for life!
