In 2013, Camille McGirt participated in CGI U so she could learn how to expand Healthy Girls Save the World (HGSW), an organization she founded with her sister, Rachel McGirt (CGI U'14), focused on empowering girls in North Carolina to lead healthy lifestyles. HGSW works with summer camps and after school programs on university campuses to inspire local middle school girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident. Since starting in 2011, HGSW has helped over 500 girls in North Carolina. They have also received a $50,000 grant that will be used to help expand the program, and Camille was featured on the Dr. Oz Show to talk about youth living healthier lifestyles. We are happy to report that Camille will be returning to #CGIU2017 at Northeastern University this year! • • Do you know CGI U alumni doing inspiring work? Are you one yourself?
