🌏 Hello Trojans! We are the #COP26 Climate Justice Research Team and we are taking over USC Dornsife’s Instagram stories to document our experiences at the USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies virtually attending the #COP26 as observers. We are a research team of uscedu students under the direction of Prof. Shannon Gibson, who teaches both international relations and environmental studies courses. Our team of five is working to support and document how critical justice frameworks and demands — from women, the Global South, Indigenous Peoples and other radical activists and organizers — impact the outcomes at this year’s COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland. 🌊 We were fortunate enough to spend the week at the USC Wrigley Institute’s (uscwrigley) Marine Science Center on Catalina Island while we attended COP26 meetings and events, studied policy draft texts and interviewed activists and delegates who were attending the convention in-person.
