Gather ’round, it’s story time! 📚⁣ ⁣ Junior Nisey Berry, who is studying psychology, reads from the book “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andreae and illustrated by Guy Parker-Rees, in which Gerald the giraffe finds his footing with a little encouragement. ⁣ ⁣ Nisey participates in ReadersPLUS through USC Dornsife’s Joint Educational Project, where she is part of a trained network of USC students who tutor K-12 students at local schools in South Los Angeles in reading and math. ⁣ She says, “ReadersPLUS is important to me because while I’m challenging the kids, they challenge me too! The work we do is a rewarding and collaborative effort.
