Here's a flashback to summer when Alexander Young and his students visited the Eureka Stockade Memorial in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. In the Problems Without Passports course ENGL 499 "Two Frontiers: Settler Colonialism in California and Australia," students traveled throughout California and Australia to learn about two regions famously shaped by settler colonialism. They conducted research at theautry Museum of the American West, the thehuntingtonlibrary, the State Library of Victoria (library_vic), and the melbournemuseum, and pursued individual research projects that examined transpacific comparative settler colonial studies and Indigenous studies.
