Rising sophomore Christine Luu is one of 11 undergraduate researchers spending the summer conducting independent research at the Wrigley Marine Science Center on Catalina Island. Working in biological sciences professor David Caron's lab she's studying conditions under which aquatic microoganisms grow. Luu said: "The skills that I have gained and will gain through this project will definitely prove to be an integral part of my future research projects... Aside from my research, the Wrigley Institute’s location on Catalina Island is simply gorgeous. The sunsets always seem to leave me in awe."
