Christina Schoellkopf, a history and broadcast and digital journalism major, spent the last month in Rwanda studying conflict resolution and peace in the wake of the 1994 genocide as part of a
#ProblemsWithoutPassports course. Here she stands with Hon. Bamporiki Edouard, a member of Rwanda's Parliament. She said: "I met with Hon. Bamporiki Edouard for my post-genocide research. He shared with me, along with the other Problems Without Passports students, his experience in 1994 during the Genocide Against the Tutsi. Mr. Bamporiki is also an actor and filmmaker but he loves his work in politics to help promote social cohesion in Rwanda. He said, 'Our kids will not have the same wounds [as 1994 survivors]. Let's raise them in a situation where they can achieve more goals than we did.' "
