💗 G I V E A W A Y C L O S E D💗 The holiday season can be a joyous time: family, friends, laughter, memories. It can also be a somber time for those who’ve lost. For me, while I love the holiday season, it is also a painful time because I lost my maternal grandfather on 12.22.07. “Holidays After Loss” is an online course that teaches art as a tool to process the difficult thoughts and emotions of the season. Five art projects included in the course are quick and easy, and can be done alone, or together with the family. The course instructor, Danica Thurber (danica_the_artist ) , is a local artist. She was recently featured on boisestatepublicradio “Idaho Matters” program for her work, which combines grief recovery with the arts. Included in the giveaway is a 8.5x11” print of an original painting done by Danica and her mother. It portrays a woman walking her dog alongside the bright shadow of a lost loved one.
