🌈 BOISE PRIDE 🌈
30th anniversary of boisepride.
Any movement with significant impact haven’t been doesn’t without challenges and opposition .
For me, I was raised in a LBGTQI-friendly environment: classmates, friends, professors, teachers, neighbors, close friends, etc. pride parades and celebrations were part of my culture.
I understand the power of community & how it can positively uplift and inspire. It’s particularly meaningful when you’ve felt marginalized or excluded — for whatever reason (race, gender, etc.) Along those same lines, any event that brings people together, celebrates individuality, and encourages love (loving yourself in your own skin) is an event worth celebrating and supporting.
Congratulations boisepride for achieving this milestone. The fireworks, parade & festival is only the beginning. I can’t wait to enjoy the rest of the festivities 🥳!
