Happy Saturday, Boise! Who is outside enjoying this weather? ☀️ I sure am. Driving my Jeep around, looking for a new coffee shop to try. I ended up at aerocaffeboise , a quaint small coffee shop on the Boise Bench. aerocaffeboise motto is "Local coffee, local airplanes." The cafe is home to 3 handcrafted model airplanes ✈️, built by Sadami Tanabe. Sadami (also goes by Sid), has an amazing backstory. His journey started in Portland, OR. His family lived on a vegetable farm. After the Pearl Harbor attacks in 1941, Sid & his family left OR, and he made sure in his one suitcase he had his small model plane. The family relocated to Minidoka, ID relocation camp. When the War ended, Sid's parents moved to Boise & he went to Cleveland -- the modeling capital of the world. Sid returned to Boise in 1949 and has lived here since. The planes at aerocaffeboise took him at least 2 years to make 😳. aerocaffeboise also serves up some delicious drinks; I had the Chai tea latte. The server was SO FRIEN...
