This 3D full-color display method uses a smartphone screen to produce holographic images.
From the University of Tokyo, the computer-generated holography-based technique uses only an iPhone and an optical component called a spatial light modulator to reproduce a 3D color image that consists of two holographic layers.
The display method holds promise for augmented and virtual reality displays.
