Caitlin Clark can become the Division I all-time leading scorer this season. 👀 • While we’re stoked for Clark’s impending record, it’s important to note that the NCAA doesn’t include championships or records from the previous women’s sports governing body, the AIAW. Two trailblazing Black women, Lynette Wodard (University of Kansas) had 3,649 points, while Pearl Moore (Francis Marion University) had 4,061 — even more than Pete Maravich! 👏 • Averaging 32.1 points per game, Iowa star Caitlin Clark (3,520) could surpass Pete Maravich (3,667) as the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer in five games — during the Hawkeyes’ final game of the regular season. You can’t script it any better. 🏀 • But before that happens, we’ll be cheering her on this week as she’s set to make history against the Michigan Wolverines. Tune in this Thursday, February 15, at 8 p.m. on Peacock. 📺 #CaitlinCoverage x statefarm • #ad #statefarm
