#MeetOurTeamMondays: Elin is an Ohio native and a Kent State University graduate, having earned a master’s degree in Special Education with a concentration in Transition Services. In addition to her M.Ed., Elin also has a B.A. in English/Creative Writing and a B.S. in Educational Studies. A big part of her previous work experience is with a non-profit called L’Arche where she lived and worked with individuals with disabilities in a community setting. Elin is a proud AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alumna (Vanuatu), and volunteering remains an important part of her life. While Elin is new to the Pittsburgh area, she is excited to explore the city and get to know her community. Elin enjoys reading, trivia, yoga, thrifting, practicing ASL, meeting new people, and spending time with her one-eyed dog, Jerry.
