#tbt Thank you #DickieV for trusting me to not kick you in the head. I was not initially invited to participate in the competition. I had a highlight tape made and sent it in to the group that ran the event. After emailing and calling for months and getting no response, I decided to to drive to the venue in St. Petersburg, Florida the day before the event and talk to them in person. I would like to thank the committee for opening the door, for not calling security and for giving me a chance when I showed up and told them that I wanted an opportunity to convince them that I belonged there. I told them that I would not only put on a show, but that I would be the winner.
