On Wednesday, MMI was delighted to host Lindsay Rane Carter, Attorney/Director of External Affairs for Great Southern Wood Preserving as a distinguished guest speaker for the Anthony J. Rane Center for Leadership. For lunch, Carter dined with female cadets for a women in leadership discussion, where they asked questions about career challenges and work/life balance. She advised these young women, “Don’t diminish yourself for anybody.” During her Chapel speech to the entire Corps of Cadets, Carter opened with her family background of strong women and praised her grandfather Tony, a WWII vet, for always encouraging her. After a debilitating horse-riding accident, she was dedicated to "coming back stronger," which led her to pursue law school and earn her place on the senior team at Great Southern Wood.
