Repost from mmitigerxc • In cold, windy conditions the MMI Men's & Women's Cross Country Teams culminated the season in a big way on Saturday in Fort Dodge, Iowa at the NJCAA National Championships. The women finished 14th in the country, led by Freshman Hope Shales in a time of 19:23. Hope finished 4th overall, which earned her First Team All-American Honors. She was also named Atlantic Region Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA at the Awards Banquet prior to the National Meet. Freshman, Emma Turner was the 2nd Tiger across the line in a time of 22:06, followed by Sophomore, Bridget Wheeless. Freshmen, Ryane Cornog, Gita Goldberg, and Reva Goldberg rounded out the finishes by the Tiger women. The Tiger Men finished 15th in the country, with the top 5 men crossing the line within 40 seconds of each other. Freshmen, Jason Healey & Nick Selzer led the way in 28:58 and 29:03.
