Repost from mmitigerxc • Solid first race of the season today for the MMI Tiger XC program as we competed in the Mississippi College Opener 5k's. Following some teams dropping out late, the meet ended up being more of a dual meet between MMI & Blue Mountain College, with Stillman College competing a few men and a few unattached runners from Mississippi State participating on the Men's side. Freshman, Hope Shales won the Meet individually on the Women's side in a time of 19:48 and Freshman Emma Turner was 2nd on the team, 8th overall, in a time of 22:18, a 2:30 min+ Personal Best. The Men won the meet by 1 point, led by Sophomore, Aaron Brown in a time of 17:13. We will add the rest of the team to the mix next week and continue to press forward!
