Congratulations to MMI Tiger XC Student-athlete Avery Griner who has chosen to take her next step on her education and career pursuit at Carson Newman University! Avery chose CNU over Baylor University & Stephen F. Austin in Texas, among others. Avery has been a leader on the MMI campus, serving in multiple roles. She has been a strong leader and an asset to our program. She's the epitome of what it means to be a "team player," having started and finished our Cross Country Conference Championships in the Fall on an ailing knee, in terrible weather conditions. She knew we needed 5 ladies to run and never even considered sitting out the race, even though she was given the option. Avery will continue with Army ROTC and pursue her Nursing Degree at CNU!
