"The Original MMI Gaelic Club Member!" When Dr. Sherling started the Gaelic Club 5 years ago, there was only one cadet, Travis Connelly. Along with Charlie Flaherty, Connelly and Sherling gradually added members of the club in the 2014-2015 school year. Connelly was also one of two cadets, along with Gordon Lawless, who went on the initial, 5 week MMI Ireland Study Abroad trip to Glencolmcille and Carraroe in Ireland. Connelly arrived at MMI in the fall of 2014 as an S.A.P. Self-Prep. After two years at MMI, Connelly was accepted to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where he is currently in his 3rd year, set to graduate in the spring of 2020.
