Pushing beyond what your mind thinks you are capable of—that is just one element of ITC, but it is a crucial component. Every year, we have several recruits who, not only have never rappelled, but also are afraid of heights. Within the first 24-48 hrs upon arrival at MMI, recruits find themselves up on the tower. ITC pushes you outside of your comfort zone and helps you grow as a person and as a company. The baseball and softball teams that rappelled today definitely showed signs of the strong bonds they were already developing as they cheered on one recruit who was particularly afraid to rappel. And, she did it! There were several other cadets that conquered their fears today, as well.
