Today was a remarkable day at MMI. Not only did the highest ranking officer of the US Coast Guard decide to stop by for a visit, but he also surprised four self-prep Cadets with appointments to the United States Coast Guard Academy. Admiral Zukunft personally handed appointments to Cadet Patton, Cadet Dolan, Cadet Anthony and Cadet Connelly. Being unsponsored, these cadets have had to work extra hard to gain the attention of the Coast Guard Academy and today their hard work paid off.
