The departure of Wes Moore after 15 years in 2013, left a hole in the hearts of Chattanooga fans, but that hole was quickly filled with the arrival of Jim Foster.
Foster led programs at St. Joseph's, Vanderbilt and Ohio State. His eyes were affixed on the successful Chattanooga program.
In the summer before he was to begin leading the Mocs, he was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. Once he was on the scene, he led Chattanooga to four Southern Conference regular season titles and four more SoCon Tournament crowns. He claimed his 800th win and became just the eighth women's basketball coach to reach 900 career victories.
Just two years after Moore led the Mocs to an astounding win over Tennessee in the Roundhouse, Foster's group beat the fourth-ranked Lady Vols in Holly Warlick's first season.
