After the webinar⁣ Building Bridges and Breaking Barriers ⁣ I had the opportunity to take a ride along with Sgt. Acosta and Det. Jon⁣. ⁣ ⁣ I’ve never felt so comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time while riding in a squad car. ⁣ I saw The Steel City and its people of all walks of life in a new light.⁣ I experienced people who waved to us and those who looked at us with disgust. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The life of a public servant is not easy, ⁣⁣ but as citizens, not knowing our rights while having an interaction with law enforcement is also a scary and difficult challenge.⁣ In order to make a change,⁣⁣ we all have to be willing to be open, and most importantly communicate with others. ⁣ ⁣ I will continue to do all I can to build a bridge between our youth and law enforcement. ⁣⁣ ⁣“Be Polite and Know Your Rights”.⁣ ⁣⁣ #WorkThroughIt #SteelCity #Pittsburgh #StrongerTogether #BuildingBridges⁣⁣ #TarrikBrock #CoachOfChange
