This is real life. I just did this and I’m still working on feeding myself the positives.
I was just tidying up, doing those mindless tasks: folding clothes, putting things away, organizing etc. and I felt my mood and vibe change and then I started listening to what was going on in my head. I was beating myself up for not being better - “You could be a better coach, you could be better at your job, you could be a better girlfriend, a better daughter, a better friend” all of those self deprecating thoughts that I don’t deserve to be having. I noticed right away what I was doing an immediately started to try and turn each thought around.
This is something that I’ve practiced for a long time but it is a forever battle. I didn’t always used to have a positive mindset and I still struggle. When I started trying to change my mindset, I would write down all those mean, negative thoughts, physically cross them out and physically replace them with a positive.
