The University of Miami is establishing a chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. Professors Andrew Barton and Joseph B. Treaster have begun signing up students for the new #journalism organization. Get in touch with them to join. During a national conference held in Orlando in Sept., the professors spoke with leaders of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, the Radio Television Digital News Association and the Society of Professional Journalists. Professor Barton and Professor Treaster are the advisers for the Society of Professional Journalists chapter at the university.
