This #MajorMonday, we're highlighting SDSU's Africana Studies program. Our program offers one major (Africana Studies) and two minors (Africana Studies and African Studies). Students in this program have the opportunity to understand and appreciate the cultural, historical and intellectual heritage of African people throughout the world and their commitment to social, economic and political justice, equality, and antiracism. While many graduates of this program go on to study law, business, or medicine, there is a need for understanding Africana history and culture in many areas, such as government, education, marketing, and public relations.
