It changed my life because I learned so much about an amazing group of people who continue to inspire me and obviously countless others, especially young kids. I’m still kind of a big kid. The conversations I had as part of researching this article, and in some ways on certain days continue to have, gave me what I still consider to be invaluable perspective on society, religion, family, community and what leadership really looks like, where it really comes from and how it’s actually developed.
