Day in, and day out - we are pressured to conform to those around us. Whether it’s what we wear, the things we consume, our hobbies, or even our thoughts - there always seems to be an underlying pressure to do what everyone else is doing. Over time, this can lead to a build up of self doubt, and leave us wondering who we are, or even suppress the authentic versions of ourselves. If you can relate to this sentiment - this is your reminder to continue being yourself. Allow your best company to gravitate towards you, as supposed to molding yourself around a group of people. This is not to say we should not learn to embrace others with empathy, but a simple reminder to not sacrifice our authenticity in the process. Be open to suggestions, but don’t loose sight of your core values and goals, because they will be your guide when you feel a need to ground yourself. Celebrate your uniqueness! And don’t allow your differences to make you feel like you are lesser than those around you.
