Maryland Day is a celebration of Maryland’s history, culture, and people. March 25, 1634, is the date that immigrants disembarked from two tiny sailing ships, the Ark, and the Dove, upon Maryland soil. They gathered at what is now St. Mary's County, Maryland, on St. Clement's Island.
So today, let's celebrate our wonderful state! Get out there and eat some crabs, take a walk on the harbor – or engage in any other activity that makes you glad to live here.
Happy Maryland Day!
