OXON HILL, Md — After more than a year in the making sports betting is up and running in Maryland.⁠ ⁠ Governor Larry Hogan will be placing Maryland’s first sports wager at 12:50 p.m., today at the MGM National Harbor’s BetMGM Sportsbook & Lounge as wagering will then be open to the public.⁠ ⁠ "Today marks the culmination of years of effort to get sports betting up and running here in the State of Maryland," said Governor Hogan.
