As a group,student-athletes take academics seriously. The problem is that most student-athletes think other student-athletes don't. This pluralistic ignorance can lead to decreased performance among student-athlete populations as individuals assume all their athlete friends doesn't take academics seriously and further the myth of the "dumb jock". #studyhard #academicsfirst #studentathlete
