Commissioner Colin Fagan and DC coordinator @jcmorrobel traveled up to Swarthmore to meet with founder Pat Colleluori and Director of community engagement @jbxter to brainstorm some great ideas for the next year. The leagues partnership with the @headstrongfnd seeks to grow awareness of all the things that HEADstrong does. Through the HEADstrong Foundation’s Nick’s House provides residential support service and lodging. Nick’s House provides 2,555 complimentary nights annually for out-of-town cancer patients and their families traveling to the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Nick’s House is not a medical facility, but a guest house designed to meet the unique needs of patients, their families and/or caregivers. Seeing it in person was really something special and how it could bring a sense of normalcy to the patient’s staying there.
