As March Madness winds down, we figured it would be a good time to post the remaining “55” inductions and speeches from the end of last season. While Dan Callandrillo could not make the banquet, his presence at the championship game was meaningful. He was a talented player and fiery competitor winning 3 JSBL Championships in the late 80’s and early 90’s. A star at Seton Hall, Callandrillo was one of the original Pirates’ superstars to grace the court at the Headliner and Birch Hill. Perhaps it was fitting for him to watch fellow Seton Hall alumni Myles Cale and Shavar Reynolds lead Sterns Trailer to a thrilling comeback on that night. His friendship and bond with former high school rival turned JSBL teammate Kelly Tripucka remains strong to this day and it was great to see them reunited at last summer’s championship game.
