Happy #NewTarHeelTuesday! This week, we're featuring Kelvin Perez, an incoming first year with a passion for serving his community. Q: What inspired you to apply to UNC-CH? As a child, I would spend countless days volunteering with my mother at a local food bank helping to distribute food boxes to low-income families from all across Los Angeles despite being a recipient as well. As I grew older, volunteering at the local food bank helped inspire me to want to apply to colleges like Carolina where I knew I could follow my passion for community service and make an impact in the surrounding community. Q: What are your plans for your first year at Carolina?
