#MeetaTarHeel Elizabeth organized an awareness event for Best Buddies #TodayInThePit. The Chicago native started her work with Best Buddies in 9th grade, and now co-chairs the UNC chapter. "Everyone here is receptive to our work. It's so different than high school, where people can be so immature." The chapter hosts 100 active matches between students and community members with disabilities.
