#MeetaTarHeel On a sunnier day than today, we chatted with Derek, a junior from Midland, NC. "I specifically remember not wanting to study Political Science as I prepared to enroll for my first semester of classes at UNC. Then, I took Dr. James Stimson's Honors "Government in the US" class, and all of my preconceived notions about Political Science were completely blown away! I never knew that one class could change my conception of a subject so drastically. Rather than lecturing, Dr. Stimson made the class almost entirely discussion-based, and after the first day, I was hooked. I've come quite a way since then... I will soon be applying to write a Political Science honors thesis during my senior year!" #socisciUNC #targram
