You've just had a baby, so sex might be the last thing on your mind. Or maybe it's the first, especially if you're in need of some stress relief or want to connect with your partner (outside of handing off your baby for diaper duty). So when can you have sex? Doctors generally recommend waiting 4-6 weeks, so you can heal (and longer if you had surgery for a tear). And how? You're still undergoing hormonal changes, so you may experience vaginal dryness or tenderness. Before intercourse, take a warm bath, go to the bathroom, and take some pain relievers. Pick a time where you're feeling more energetic, and use lube. Talk with your partner about experimenting with mutual masturbation, oral sex, or a sexy massage. (P.S.
