I tore my ACL on my senior night in high school. Despite this injury and long recovery, I was still included as a part of the team my freshman year. Being able to be a part of practices, game days, and road trips helped me throughout my recovery and through my first year of college. I still had basketball as an outlet. Entering my sophomore year of college, I was working hard and ready to get back to basketball but just shy of two weeks until the start of the season, I tore the same ACL again and my meniscus. When I went down, I opened my eyes and saw all of my teammates around me. They were there for me, our trainer was there for me, and my coaches were too. I knew what had happened that day and the pain I felt in my mind and leg was indescribable. Deep down, I knew that there was more for me to learn from being the writer of another comeback story.
