Artists, know your rights! Law and Order illegally used my mural in a recent episode without paying out usage rights. (Irony right?) When I contacted production they attempted to get away with a $500 apology payment for the rights. As a union scenic I know my rights in this matter. I refused and insisted on $2500 as it would cost them more to pay their art department to paint or cover the mural. And $2500 is way less than the lawsuit I was about to slap them with. Artists, hold the line. Don’t let anyone fuck you over. For general info I currently charge $2500 for an episodical and $5000 for features to use my work in the background, and that price goes up annually. Don’t ever cross my path and steal my shit. I don’t need exposure. You need me.
