Today puravidaart and I went on a last minute impulse adventure to check out the hopeoutdoorgallery in
#Austin. Immediately I knew that I had to paint. This gallery was launched in 2006 with the aid of artist obeygiant and was initially founded as a way to raise awareness about the the crisis in Darfur and Sudan. I learned while painting that today is the last day that this gallery will be open, as the location has been bought by a developer. The community of artists, musicians, poets, and more made an incredible turnout to show love to this amazing space. It was an absolute honor to be able to paint here. Unfortunately I only had about an hour and a half before sunset to paint and had to freehand everything since I left my iPad at the casa. I still had a blast painting in this really difficult and awkward corner of the spot. Austin and the Streetart community here, you have not disappointed. Much love to all of you.
