So I decided to try it out/practice the technique. HOW I SHOT IT: Camera: 5D Mark 4 Lens: Canon 24-70 f/2.8 L Lighting: 2 Youngnuo Speedlights + 1 Godox 60SL W Constant Light Settings: SS: 1.5s, f/18, ISO 800 LIGHTING: - 1 Speedlight in a Softbox Camera Right in front Juwan as a Main Light to illuminate the face/front - 1 Bare speedlight camera right behind Juwan to act as a “kicker/rim light” and give him extra separation from the background - 1 Godox constant light camera left to the side of Juwan to illuminate his movement throughout the duration of the Frame (1.5-2s) LOGISTICS: With such a long shutter, I set my camera on a tripod, and set my lights to First-Curtain Sync. - Where it causes flashes to fire towards the end of the frame instead of at the beginning. - This allows Juwan to m...
