"It has been a privilege to have been a counselor for the past 3 years at Opendoor Youth Camp. Being a counselor not only stretches you, but it blesses you. For a whole week, we are surrounded by a crowd of middle and high school students. We share a cabin with them, eat with them, compete in tribal wars with them, spend free time with them, worship with them, and encounter an unforgettable experience with Jesus with them. Yes, it is hot, and it is true that we are running on a very small amount of sleep, but I can assure you it’s worth it. The memories and the bonds we make are too numerous to count. The moments where we see a student receive freedom and hope because they found out what their FATHER says about them instead of what the world says about them is priceless. The moments when a student gives their life to Jesus and catches the all consuming fire of the Lord is priceless. The moments when we get to pray over a student and speak truth and love of God over them is priceless. Y...
