Loved chatting with thekitchn about my favorite subject: food! 😋 👩🏼‍🍳 We covered… •How Kevin and I divvy up cooking and cleaning responsibilities •What to eat and not to eat before a big race •My favorite things to cook (swipe for a hint!) •How I use food as fuel for my body, but also how it can be more importantly used as fuel for the SOUL (cue the🍦). I’m not sure I explained that last point very well in the interview, but what I mean is: When I’m in hard training blocks I keep my nutrition super on point so as to give my body the best chance possible to recover quickly between workouts and support the strength that my body is building. Mainly I avoid alcohol and refined sugar as I know both inhibit my body’s ability to recover. Then this summer my 💩 hit the fan with a big injury and while I tried to maintain the high quality nutrition I knew my body needed to heal, there were times when what my SOUL needed was a bowl of ice cream. 😔 💔 I majored in dietetics in college and...
