Grateful for clean air to run in and a clean pool to swim in this morning. Bend had a couple afternoons of smoke earlier this week, but things have luckily cleared up a lot here. The photos of cities engulfed in smoke are honestly terrifying. With so many fires raging across the west coast, it’s impossible to ignore that this is a direct consequence of global warming. It makes me want to DO something. One non-profit organization that is doing the (non-partisan) policy work necessary for real change is protectourwinters. Check out their website to learn more about their current campaigns and see how you can get involved. We have to protect the earth we run on and the air we breath. I live my life outside and want to keep it that way- don’t you?
If you’re freaked out about the fires and inspired to do something, take a few min today to check out protectourwinters, link in their bio or in my stories today.
