One day I’m gonna tell my little grandkiddos that back in the day their granny got a few of her besties together at the track one night and broke the World Record in the 4x1500m relay. And that they did it while raising money to support an organization called the Equal Justice Initiative because they saw injustice in the world and wanted to be a part of the fight for equality for people of color. I can’t wait to tell them that story- I’m hoping it makes me a pretty cool grandma!
